An Electrified New Moon in Libra

our newest NEW MOON will occur at 26 degrees LIBRA,

exactly opposing URANUS in ARIES,

with JUPITER and MERCURY newly in SCORPIO, as part of the mix.

Maat was the (very LIBRAN) Ancient Egyptian concept of truth, balance, order, law, morality, and justice who is sometimes personified as a goddess regulating the stars, seasons, and the actions of both mortals and the deities, who set the order of the universe from chaos at the moment of creation. VENUS and MARS, our feminine and masculine archetypes are still traveling together,

now on either side of the Autumnal Equinox point.

This is the point of the mytho-poetic year that Persephone begins her descent to the underworld to spend time with her husband, the dark lord Hades.

In most modern tellings this relationship begins with Hades abducting Persephone,

but in older tellings, she was a willing participant, ready and eager to leave her mother and explore her budding womanhood and sexuality with a compelling partner.

In these current time, it feels important to reclaim and reestablish empowering myths to look to for guidance and insight vs ones that perpetuate oppression.

The long and the short of it all is that this is another deep, relationship seeding time.

NEW MOONS are the times to set your intention for the month to come.

We are wrapping up our time in LIBRA and are already awash in SCORPIO planets, the two most relationship oriented signs.

So much of life is relationship, in one way or another. The magic of having another by your side, with whom to navigate and celebrate life is one of life's rich treasures.

If you have this in your life, give thanks and spend a little time in meditation asking for blessings and insights on how it can be improved in a way that serves both partners.

Stagnant relationships will get a little whirlwind of fresh juice from the URANIAN opposition to this NEW MOON. If there are any issues that you are sitting on, they're likely to come to the surface now.

this is your NEW MOON to call it in, to call in your equal with whom you can travel through both the darkness and the light that life provides us as our terrain.

And if you are happy being single, identify and celebrate your primary relationships that sustain you (family, friends, pets, plants).

With LIBRA, we inhabit the quadrant of the zodiac that wants MORE, more interactions with other people. With SCORPIO we continue this theme but now we want to take the togetherness to the next level and really merge.

We are in a time of transformation. Allow the magic and the growth and the change to happen. Allow the cosmic dust to swirl and dance and enjoy who you find across from you as your dance partner, or call that person in!

If calling in is what you need to do, use the NEW MOON to plant your seeds of intention. Draw a circle on a piece of paper and inside the circle, write the qualities you want your person to have. Then go plant it into the earth outside, under this NEW MOON.
