An Eclipsing Sun & Mercury Retrograde
Here we go into the Eclipses.
The first is a Solar Eclipse New MOON at 10 CANCER, on the NORTH NODE.
It happens on July 2 at 12:16 pm PDT and shows that we are collectively reaching towards a type of energy that will help us care for our clans in the face of increasingly intense times.
The NORTH NODE of the MOON is also known as RAHU, the eternally hungry mouth of the great Nodal Dragon and it's easy to overdo RAHU energy.
The big lineup of CANCER LEO is very emotional, and CANCERIAN themes of protection of our tenderest underbellies may provoke harsh pinching (Crab) and roaring (Lion) against any perceived threats with things so heightened right now.
If something happens to trigger you on or around the eclipse days, try to stay neutral, and take a deep breath before responding (the second one will be July 16).
MERCURY our winged messenger God who travels both in the upper world and underworld and helps us to transact, find our way, and negotiate, stations to turn retrograde on the exact same day as the eclipse, which feels to be part of our medicine brew.
The days of station to avoid any purchases, signing of contracts
are July 2-11 and July 28-August 6.
Retrogrades and eclipses are times when things can get weird.
An eclipse is a darkening of one of the lights on which our life on Earth depends,
thus it's no small thing. Nowadays, of course, science helps us to understand what is happening, but in our ancestral DNA, for a very long time, it was just a raw mystery that folks underwent collectively, with no warning and no way of understanding of what the heck was happening.
In a solar eclipse, the SUN goes suddenly dark, and in a lunar eclipse, the MOON turns blood red. There is still a lot of magic and mystery surrounding these dragon portal days. Eclipses grant access of all the cosmos to enter in, while the lights are dimmed. We see what we usually don’t see, and this can be helpful, a different, brief, but dramatic perspective of our lives.
In general, I offer you this guidance; don't look at the eclipses, instead observe them from within. It's a good time to do a simple meditation and light a candle to help carry the eclipsed light to safety and light some sage to clear the energy.
Eclipses are not time to work magic like a regular New MOON would be.
They're traditionally considered to be somewhat malefic, and we're advised to stay chill through them.

The emphasis at this New MOON is on the NORTH NODE, but the SOUTH NODE squad containing KETU, SATURN, and PLUTO in CAPRICORN is still going strong and will be the feature of the next eclipse.
MARS and MERCURY have just left watery, moody CANCER and are now in the robust fixed fire sign of LEO. It's time to show up, to shine, and to speak from the heart. These two personal planets are applying to a square with URANUS in TAURUS (with MERCURY newly retrograde). That's a strong square that conjures internal friction around being seen and being generous vs. being private and security oriented with one's resources. Fixed squares are stubborn. Look out for conflicts around resources where no one easily backs down.
In general, there are some dates in the next month that have the potential to be difficult days. I'm going to list them so you have them to reference.
They are the days that the MOON is in a cardinal sign, activating the heated
CAP CANCER axis planetary pileup.
It's not to say that these will definitely be hard days, but the potential is there.
July 2, Lunar Eclipse
July 3, MOON opposite PLUTO SATURN
July 9, MOON square SATURN PLUTO
July 16, Solar Eclipse
July 23, MOON square SATURN PLUTO
July 30, MOON opposite SATURN PLUTO

I will leave you with this from Edward Abbey:
“One final paragraph of advice: do not burn yourselves out. Be as I am -
a reluctant enthusiast....a part-time crusader, a half-hearted fanatic.
Save the other half of yourselves and your lives for pleasure and adventure.
It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it.
While you can. While it’s still here.
So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, the lovely, mysterious, and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much; I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those desk-bound men and women with their hearts in a safe deposit box, and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this; You will outlive the bastards.” ― Edward Abbey
Blessings on your Solar Eclipse passage,
We will get right to the point.
