Big Power: Pluto Stations & Scorpio Eclipse 🌚🌒

The Primal Pulsing of Pluto Stationing & a Scorpio Lunar Eclipse

(You can find S hemisphere at bottom of page)

This is another big week folks, as we pass through the second of two eclipses. This one is a South Node eclipse falling on the Flower Moon, also known to the Buddhists as the Wesak Moon celebrating the birth, enlightenment and death of Lord Buddha as all three events took place on the same lunar date, according to legend.

This eclipse is loaded with potency. There’s a real sexy vitality at this Full Moon each year, with or without an eclipse as it’s on the Taurus Scorpio axis. Both are yin, sensual, passionate, controlling and stubborn. Taurus is what gives us pleasure, what we value & maintain, while Scorpio is the great mystery of death (la petit mort and leaving the body): where we intimately & ultimately have to let everything go.

This week’s eclipse asks you to let go of old, dark, sticky material, things that are below the surface and quite guarded. This is a powerful purge opportunity, so use it.

Monday May 1

The big story of the day is power player Pluto stations rx and begins his first journey back towards Capricorn from the first minutes of Aquarius. Pluto stations are always big, so it’s likely to be a memorable week geo-politically. In fact as I write there is new information about exceedingly Plutonic Jeffrey Epstein and his contacts list, and possible role as a spook.

In your life, whatever house Pluto is in is likely to feel this strong reversal of energy. May Day hosts a Sun Mercury Cazimi at 11° Taurus, in an inferior conjunction. This means that Mercury is peering into our human affairs. How are you using this Rx? It’s always a good time for a reconnaissance mission in the themes of the sign… so in this case retrieving old plans to get your resources situation better fortified, to finish an old art project that fell by the wayside, or to get your body back into a regular exercise routine.

The Virgo Moon seconds the notion but its opposition to Neptune at 26° could make you want to completely avoid tasking today.

Tuesday May 2

The Moon enters Libra and now we have five planets answering to Venus… wearing her garb of mutable air, heading into a square with Neptune. This is sort of sappy astrology where the desire is strong to retreat from the harshness of the world into a meadow of flowers. Rose-colored glasses alert this week as the Venus Neptune convo is not going to have us seeing people clearly and we could be taken advantage of.

Wednesday May 3

The Libra Moon opposes Chiron, squares Mars and then opposes Jupiter while making a trine to Venus (as the Venus Neptune square perfects), it’s a day for relationship healing, the kind that a little honest investment pays off in a big heartfelt way.

Thursday May 4

The waxing Scorpio Moon crosses her own South Node & squares Pluto at the start of the day, as we enter the eclipse portal. Although it’s not until tomorrow, there’s a lot going on under the surface, so if you’re holding onto something under pressure emotionally, today or tomorrow, it’s likely to burst. If you don’t want that to happen then get ahead of it and be forth coming and initiatory rather than being dragged behind the horse.

Friday May 5

It’s eclipse day, the second of this season. This one is a 15° Scorpio penumbral lunar eclipse on this Wesak Full Flower Moon. Like the solar eclipse two weeks at the 29° Aries New Moon, this one features Pluto squared to the nodes, and Mercury rx & Uranus alongside the Taurus Sun. This is an edgy and unpredictable eclipse, potentized by Pluto’s primal station vibe. Get ready for more exposing of the underbelly of the power elite with this Dragon’s tail purge.

As always I don’t recommend looking at them in real time, and laying low until it’s over. Eclipses are wild cards and this one is on the darker side.

Saturday May 6

Midday on the west coast the Moon enters Sag and things dramatically lighten up after the storm and stress of yesterday’s eclipse. Shake it all off and have some fun today. The Moon’s ingress makes a sextile to Pluto bringing some chill to Pluto’s ‘not chill’ stationing mood.

Sunday May 7

Venus leaves the light filled social frivolity of Gemini today, for the Cardinal water sign Cancer. This brings us back to a more introverted mode. Family becomes the focus and retreating from the world to rest and restore and to tend and nurture our beloveds.

In light of the economic realities of 2023, I am opening my practice to an ongoing sliding scale from $175-150 for full length readings.

Monday May 1

Today is Samhain in the south, Beltane in the north. Traditionally a fire festival used to mark the midpoint between equinox & solstice, in the south Samhain marks the gateway into wintertime. This is a thinly veiled cross quarter day. Today the Moon makes an exact trine to the Taurus Sun as well as the rest of the Taurus stellium, giving us a sweet base of physicality and sensuality to tune into today.
