A New Moon š, Venus Rx ā£ļø
(You can find S hemisphere at bottom of page) The Lunar Nodes of Fate are a giant heavenly dragon that moves against the grain, changing signs every 1.5 years. These important energetic vortices determine where & when eclipses occur and are linked to our soulās evolutionary path. This week we move from Taurus & Scorpio nodes to Aries & Libra. Both axes are deeply relational as well as ruled by Venus & Mars, but we pivot from a Venus ruled Head of the Dragon to a Mars ruled head. The last time we traveled through this version of the ecliptic was late 2004-2006, hosting both Hurricane Katrina and the funeral of Pope John Paul ll. Venus Rx can be treated like lent, where something Venusian is abstained from for the duration. Or look to the house that Venus will be retrograding through and use this time to do a deep vision quest around the topics of that house. This New Moon emphatically states that we need peace & tranquility, and to know that we belong to our tribe. The trine to Neptune indicates that dreams may carry a message for you today or this week. The sextile to Uranus says donāt get too sleepy, that this time requires that you are awake and on your guard about how you need to upgrade your family systems as we move into a future with less food security than we have known in our lives thus far. The opposition to Pluto says that there are indeed existential threats at the door and that you need to be careful and protective of your tribe. Also today the Nodes move from Taurus & Scorpio into Aries & Libra. We will be working this soul-level, relationship axis for the next 18 months and the eclipses will be here. Tuesday July 18 The fresh Leo crescent Moon conjuncts Mercury with a rush of optimism and good feelings today that need to be talked about. This is an active and playful day as the Moon squares Jupiter, galvanizing us up and out of our Cancer New Moon bubble. Wednesday July 19 The Leo Moon applying to Venus can be seen in the evening skies, on the western horizon. The beauty you see translates into very good feelings with this conjunction. We need art and beauty as much as we need food and water. So make some art with kids or go to a museum, or see an exciting movie today. Thursday July 20 Today the Leo Moon reaches Venus (look up!) and beauty and love are the presiding themes. Feelings are riding high and as the Moon trines the North Node we need to build something new. Mars in Virgo opposes Saturn rx in Pisces at 6Ā° which can feel like running with leg weights on at best, and straight up frustrating at worst. Access your patience and birdās eye perspective for a better experience. It's a good day to see a chiropractor or do some iyengar yoga, which focuses on alignment, as a way to productively use this transit.
Friday July 21 The Leo Moon crosses regulus as it enters Virgo and we move from celebratory creativity into work focused productivity. The Sun opposes Pluto once a year and today is that day, which adds a red flag to today. Adding to that base intensity is the fact that they are squaring the Lunar Nodes of fate, giving today catharsis and purge vibes, and could indicate a power struggle or very intense confrontation with another person or with the shadowy monster inside yourself that you might try to project onto another person when really it's you. If that's the case, the only way out is through loving that exiled part of yourself. As the Moon conjuncts Mars in Virgo and they oppose Saturn use any excess emotions as fuel to do the deepest cleaning of your life. Shed some extra stuff, go for a brisk walk. Sunday July 23 All hail the Sun King in his own abode as the Sun enters Leo! This is the time of confidence, creativity, radiance and determination, Fixed fire is all glory. This ingress is unusual today in that Venus who is copresent in Leo pivots into her station rx which will carry us through 40 days and 40 nights, as she touches one of her beautiful star points and eventually emerges as the morning star. This is a very regular retrograde passage, one that traces a five-pointed star in the heavens. All things relationship, values, money and the attitude of the collective are subject to change, to deepening, to healing and to changing between now and September 3. The Libra Moon answers to Venus as she pivots, helping us orient to the start of the retrograde. Mercury square Uranus is a mouthy transit, so watch for biting. There is also a rare YOD formation, or Hand of God, that points to stationing Venus from Neptune & Pluto. This tells us that this is an extremely important retrograde for the collective. Things will look different on the other side.
