To be clear, I definitely believe in extraterrestrial life, but I also believe in the era of mass distractions, this being especially suspicious in the same week that the Epstein client list is being dripped out. Just another week in the Kali Yuga at Pluto’s anaretic degree of Capricorn!
Speaking of which, the New Moon in Capricorn this week couldn’t be more intense if it tried. The Moon joins the Sun at 20°, and then spends the whole day heading for Pluto. Just any garden variety conjunction of Pluto and the Moon is red-flag in my book, so the fact that this is a New Moon, the first New Moon of 2024, and the last New Moon of the Chinese Year emphasized how loaded this lunation is.
We are less than two weeks out from the epochal, penultimate ingress of Pluto into Aquarius, so the energy between now and the end of the month is very heightened and charged with the currency of soul. Why did you choose to come and incarnate at this particular time? It's a different answer for each of us and this is the age of individuation as a survival skill and the only way to thrive.
We will need each other more than we ever have, but if we succumb to the toxic soup of group think, which quickly can descend into mob-mentality, then we are lost.
No one has ever been you before and in creating you, God has given rise to the perfect medicine for this era, but the secret is you must, at each gateway, look inside and make the most authentic choices possible. This applies to speech too. The right to free speech is being eroded at an alarming pace, and it’s up to each of us to protect it, partly by speaking our truth, even if it’s into the wind. This New Moon in Cap is trine Uranus in Taurus helping us wake up and realize the urgency of preparing ourselves on the earth plane for a very big year.
I guess this is a good time to remind us of this important message.

This New Moon holds the entire past 15 years, since Pluto entered Cap, and all the accompanying lessons. Think about your own journey since 2008, and the house topics of where Cap rules in your chart. Pluto is like the bass line in music, we’re all responding to it whether we know it or not. Pluto in Cap is answering to Saturn and this team takes no prisoners. We had an exaggerated version of this combo in 2020 as they joined at 22° Cap and changed the world forever (as they always do).

The Moon leaves all the ‘sturm und drang’ of that ferocious New Moon and enters the cool detached perspective of Aquarius, and immediately makes a fricative square to Jupiter in Taurus. Aquarius is the coolest of the air signs and is fixed and mentally strong, while Taurus is the warmest of the earth signs and and is fixed and physically strong.
Find both parts of yourself today and help them work together. It’ll pay off in the long run.

Rebellion is on tap today as the sparkling Aquarius Moon makes a sharp square to Uranus and eveyone gets a little rattled. The way to use it is to see where in your life you are being complacent and use this day to assess where you can challenge your own status quo tendencies.
Sunday January 14
Responsibility and ambition take the lede again today as Mercury enters Capricorn again, post retrograde. This is a shrewd and wise Mercury who will help us navigate the next few weeks, including the imminent Pluto shift. This isn’t a time for big moves or any unnecessary risks, it’s a time for sound thinking and planning. The Pisces Moon with Saturn agrees.
