Seasonal Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon that happens after the spring equinox, while Eostre is the Germanic goddess of dawn who is celebrated during the Spring Equinox. On the old Germanic calendar, the equivalent month to April was called āÅstarmÄnodā ā or Easter-month.
As a holiday, Easter predates Christianity and was originally the name for Spring Equinox celebrations. The Sun & Jupiter are traveling together this week, smoothing out some of the rough edges from the Sun Chiron conjunction last week. We come here to evolve, heal, and grow, and Chironic wounds along the way are informative adjuvants that direct our journey. Jupiter always brings the best as long as we work the archetype he is shining through, and in Aries this Cazimi brings coherence and bold alignment. We have just over one month left of Jupiter in Aries so let this week infuse you with energy, big action, and the initiative to make things happen. This is the primal fire of existence that can be used in any way.
Last week we had Mercury enter Taurus which means it passed through 0Ā°, making a powerful fixed square to Pluto at 0Ā° Aquarius. It was NOTICEABLE.
Taurus is money and last week began an official shift away from the dollar as the world's reserve currency, with countries such as China, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Japan leading the way into negotiations for oil in currencies besides the U.S. dollar (petrodollar). Next up is Eclipse season & Mercury retrograde, so use this week with all direct planets to maximize new starts and use them wisely. āāāā Monday April 10 As the week begins the Sag Moon trines Chiron, the Sun, and Jupiter in Aries. This is a big swirl of optimism and fun, that sees us longing for interaction and play. Venus enters Gemini, making an immediate trine to Pluto, taking us into deeper waters than might initially appear. This is a sapiosexual signature and suddenly we are in love with people for their brilliant minds and loquacious charm. Tuesday April 11 The exalted Aries Sun meets Jupiter at 21Ā° as the Sag Moon moves across the Galactic Center and squares Neptune, then settles down into Cap. This day brings a spiritual blessing. Take some time to think beyond what seems possible today and to set some lofty goals that included adventure & education. Wednesday April 12 From the immense expansion of the Sag Moon, Jupiter Cazimi, we contract back into practical concerns under the Cap Moon. She opposes Mars in the early morning hours on the west coast activating possible emotional defensiveness at the start of the day. If so, do something briskly physical, enough to raise your heartbeat, in order to avoid having it stuck in your emotional body. Thursday April 13 The Moon finishes up final degrees of Capricorn while squaring the Sun & Jupiter in Aries. This is a bit grumpy as we have a cool headed Moon vying for dominance with a hot headed Sun. If we can make it all work together there can be a great deal of energy generated for productive tasking. The Moon leaves Cap for Aquarius in the early afternoon, joining Pluto. This is now the hottest degree in the zodiac where we are likely to have some intense and uncomfortable thoughts or feelings that bring us into shadow work territory. As Aquarius can easily disassociate when confronted by intense feelings, be sure to check in with yourself today and make sure you are not just pushing things away. Even if they donāt feel great, itās crucial to not numb them out. Friday April 14 The Aquarius Moon squares Mercury & Uranus in Taurus today creating conditions of rebellion & revolution. What in your life needs to be upgraded? Give it some attention today. Venus in Gemini squares Saturn in Pisces at 3Ā°, reflecting an awkwardness around trying to connect in a heartfelt way. Itās also a very serious aspect and one where we can feel insecure about our own worth. Saturday April 15 Today Saturn in Pisces trines the South Node in Scorpio at 4Ā°, and then the Aquarius Moon becomes the Pisces Moon in the afternoon on the west coast, immediately applying to Saturn. After yesterdayās rough ride, this astrology asks us to do the serious work of emotional house cleaning. What is stuck in your craw?
