Venus Direct as Jupiter Turns Retrograde

I’ve finished my move to a wonderfully enchanted place deep in the western part of Sonoma County and am back to my normal format, thanks for your understanding. In a baton pass Venus has turned direct just as Jupiter has turned retrograde at 15° Taurus, co-present with the Moon.

The fact that these two are making a fixed square at this juncture tells us a lot. As we all emerge with Venus from her 40 days and nights into the underworld to meet the Sun, her shadow self, and to be spiritually purified through the combustion process, there is a holy vibe. What have you learned? What has been done or undone in the process? Venus in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus is a signature of excess and indulgence but this version involves a relatively toned & humble Venus.

Chances are you went through some things in your relationships over the last 6 weeks so this engagement of the benefics at Venus’s prograde offers up a healing Balm of Gildead for what needs to be soothed.

Retrogrades are medicine journeys and we are changed by them. The rawness becomes eased with this transit, and we wish Jupiter a good start to his retrograde and Venus a good return to normal motion and eventually speed. Jupiter starts his Rx with a trine to the Virgo Sun. These two working together in earth signs offer us a solid footing for good health practices, the hallmark of Virgo, combined with sensual pleasures, the hallmark of Taurus. This is a good feeling day so use it for whatever in your life needs a little extra. I am very grateful for this aspect in the week leading up to my solar return.

Monday September 4

Venus direct! Our lady of beauty, love, connection, & resources wrapped up her 40 day underworld passage on Sunday at 12° 12’ Leo. Thank goodness. Jupiter in Taurus now begins his annual retrograde that will take us to the end of the year. As we turn towards the dark time of the year in the north it’s time to dive inside to cultivate your inner wisdom.

Tuesday September 5

The Taurus Moon crosses stationing retrograde Uranus while making a trine to Pluto. There can be an abruptness to the day where things may suddenly become clear and hidden things may be revealed. Venus square Jupiter rx in the background brings a largesse to the day.

Wednesday September 6

The Moon enters airy Gemini and makes a playful sextile to Venus and social trine to Mars in Libra. This is a good day to be with people that make you laugh and happy to be alive. Today Mercury rx enters the heart of the Sun in Cazimi and marks the midpoint of the retrograde. Be sure to use this medicinal transit to get your shit together for the changing season.

Thursday September 7

The Moon trines the South Node today taking your into memories of relationships past. Use the tidal pull of the South Node to release old aches and emotional pains of love lost, to free you up to be present in the now.

Friday September 8

The Moon enters her own sign of Cancer inspiring feelings of coziness. She makes an early trine to Saturn in Pisces which allows the shedding of old skin to reveal a fresh layer. Today is my solar return!

Saturday September 9

The Cancer Moon sextiles the Sun in Virgo today and things are blessedly domestic. It’s a good day to chop wood, carry water, take a hot bath and make some nourishing soup.

Sunday September 10

A light red-flag warning as we reach the monthly Moon in Cancer opposite Pluto. Deep feelings arise and anything pressurized escapes. Use honestly and compassion today as your tools.
