We’ve Reached Solstice
(You can find S hemisphere at bottom of page) Solstice is the time of extremes, when we reach the highest & lowest peaks of the Solar year. The year is reborn at the winter solstice and slowly slowly grows into the fullness of the summer sun in the north, until we reach the point of return. From here in the north the night begins to grow two minutes each day, until we reach equinox which is equal day and night. In the South we have reach the darkest longest night and the the slow ascent in back to light begins. In the north where I am, the gardens are full of flowers reaching for the starlight, and swelling & ripening fruits and vegetables. All life here on earth is thanks to the Sun so this week we take time to give thanks to the Sun King. What has come to pass in the last six months? Take the time to explore your harvest as you will never pass through this moment of time again. Give thanks for your blessings and set your intention for the second half of the year. This is challenged a bit by the Moon’s conversation with Uranus who inspires freedom and a chance to mix things up and who detests all pretense. Jupiter and Saturn Rx are also meeting today for a friendly chat which helps us put realistic ideas into practical action.

Today hosts our monthly Moon Pluto opposition, back in the Cancer Capricorn axis. Complex fears may arise today, along with a deep, compulsive desire for intimacy and belonging as a way to feel safe. Watch for big mood swings today, your own and the world around you. Cut everyone a bit of slack for best results.

It’s the Summer Solstice! Perfectly, things now lighten up as the Moon is in Leo, the sign of the Sun as we celebrate the peak of the year.
The Moon joins Venus in Leo today inspiring heartfelt, glamourous, awesomeness as well as connecting us to the love & care we feel for our beloveds. The Moon’s square to Jupiter shows we could go overboard today, and Mars trine Chiron asks us to tune into what battles are worth fighting in our lives as we round the bend into the second half of the year. Take some time today to honor the Sun, whether you’re in the north and it’s the peak, or you’re in the south and it’s the least amount, this is the turning point of the year, so pause and take account of things before moving forward.
Thursday June 22 We are infused with excitable energy today as the Leo Moon conjuncts Mars. It’s a rather impulsive vibe that asks for some adrenaline soaked adventure so find some active way to express it or you might be edgy and irritable, especially as the Moon also squares Uranus today which adds another layer of needing intense stimulation, and impulsivity. Use today to move some chi but also to open your mind to new information.
Friday June 23 It’s time to come down and back into your body today as the earthy Virgo Moon opposes Saturn. You might feel a bit blue today, if so pour it into tasking, cleaning, and getting some errant ducks in a row. There is also some sweet optimism on tap today as the Moon leaves Saturn and connects with Jupiter. Do some good work that you’ve been putting off and then have a fun evening with a friend.
Saturday June 24 We need to escape routine today as the Virgo Moon trines Uranus. It’s time to size up your earth plane day to day tasks and make some changes for the better. You need some excitement in places that are generally über predictable. Throw caution to the wind and have some exciting adventure today to move some stuck energy.
Sunday June 25 We feel very sensitive today as the Virgo Moon opposes Neptune: escaping perceived drudgery is very appealing. The Moon’s trine to Pluto in Cap gives us something to work with as our deeper motivations are accessible, in places we usually aren’t willing to look. The cherry on top is Mars square Uranus which gives a creative burst but also a strong desire to kick over any fences. Use this for something constructive or it will play out as destructive. This is fierce “No one is the boss of me” vibe.

Monday June 19 We turn towards heart, hearth & home as the Newly waxing Cancer Moon makes several harmonious aspects to Jupiter, the North Node & Saturn. We find some optimism and good humor thanks to Jupiter and some good discipline thanks to Saturn. The combo of these gas giants influencing us as we approach solstice are a dynamic combo that gives us a little boost mid year.
