Things have been really weird and intense since the Sun square Uranus/Full Moon in Leo, which coincided with the massive earthquakes in Turkey/Syria (the current death toll around 26,000 )
Next came the first “Chinese Spy Balloon” and now as of today, there have been multiple unidentified flying objects shot down over US airspace, as well as a massive meteor over Europe.
Oh there was also the huge lightening bolt that struck the Jesus sculpture in Rio de Janiero. And now there’s been a devastating chemical fire in the most fertile farmlands of Ohio who’s danger and destruction would be hard to overstate.
Wtf is going on you might ask… welcome to the weird times that Pluto in Aquarius is about to usher in, but right now we stand at the gateway of the end of Capricorn, the sign of empire, infrastructure, politics, and banking. Pluto has been turning over the soil to expose the corruption to be found there since early 2008. The next five and a half weeks are going to just keep getting weirder and more dramatic. If you haven’t tuned into the fact that this is a war between good and evil, you might want to try on that perspective, as it will help you moving forward. These are not ordinary times. This Valentine’s Day transcends the relative chill of its natal Aquarius Sun, thanks to a Sag Moon that talks with Jupiter, Mars and Venus on this day of love. Sag wants to get outside and play, which is good way to avoid any potential contention the opposition to Mars at 13° Gemini might bring. Jupiter brings the fervid passion of Aries into the conversation while Venus in Pisces beams out and basks in unconditional love.

The Sag Moon makes an exact square to Venus & Neptune at 24° creating conditions for some really inflated expectations, hopes, dreams, and possibly some straight up illusions around love. What goes up must also come down and since the Sun is conjunct Saturn at 27° Aquarius today as well, the deflation may accompany the inflation. Dreams are wonderfully important and for them to succeed there needs to be real steps taken. Although these aspects aren’t in communication with each other, the zeitgeist is essentially, to quote Thoreau, “If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”

We come back to earth today with the Capricorn Moon making a square to Jupiter at 9° Aries, and a trine to the north node at 6° Taurus. Practical & terrestrial matters are at hand, with a possibility of overdoing it. Use the mood to get things done and not get burdened by any inert depression.

The late Cap Moon joins Pluto at 29° as the Sun separates from Saturn. This shows an atmosphere of great seriousness where we may be tempted by the least optimistic outlook. Remember that in alchemy, the Nigredo state of pure black precedes the albedo stage of purity. If you are having a dark perspective today, lean in rather than out, and follow the feelings down to their root. Let tears fall, anger be expressed… and then rest knowing that you have purged some dark and sticky matter that needed to go.

The refractive, prismatic Aquarius Moon joins Mercury at the bendings of the nodes..as the Sun enters Pisces. We step out of the fixed air’s mental perspective of Aquarius into the relative snowmelt of Pisces. It is here that we dissolve once more into the cosmic womb of god, and prepare for the rebirth that the Aries ingress will bring.

The Jupiter ruled New Moon happens at 01° just after 11pm PT, hosting a very sweet & deep conversation between Venus in Pisces & Pluto in Cap at 29° which is a helpful emulsifier between Pluto’s retrospective mood, and Venus pumping out her exaltation vibes into this lunation. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and as such it encompasses all the signs, and is known for its vast inner dream realm. It’s time to relax and reconnect with the divine in all things. Pisces season brings us back to the magic.
